Giovanna Carofiglio is currently Distinguished Engineer at Cisco Systems, where she leads an innovation program on Information-Centric Networking. She spent over six years at Bell Labs as head of content networking research, and was previously with the INRIA-TREC group at Ecole Normale Superieure (ENS Ulm) working on stochastic modeling of TCP. She received the MSc degree from Politecnico di Torino in 2004 and the PhD degree jointly from Politecnico di Torino and Telecom ParisTech in 2008. She has been TPC co-chair of the first ICN workshop at IEEE Infocom 2012, general co-chair of ACM Sigcomm ICN 2014, and has been in the organizing committees of both academic and industrial consortia on ICN since 2010.
